We have options for activity day trips for junior schools as well as over night stays either camping or staying in the hostel for secondary students. We only cater for school groups mid week during term times. We use an external provider called Outdoor Adventure Ireland to provide and run the activities.
For more information and to book please check out their website here.
TY, Gaisce & Duke of Edinburgh award.
The centre is also ideally situated for the completion of the Adventure criteria of the Gaisce & DoE awards. Located right on the Wicklow Way we are almost half way between Glendalough (9km South) and Crone Wood (16km north). The Wicklow Way has a mixture of forest tracks and mountain board walk and the route is “way marked” with posts so it is navigationally secure for inexperienced groups. Lough Dan is the perfect overnight location with toilets, hot showers, wet weather shelter and fire wood provided.
We do not have camping gear for hire (tents & stoves) so you need to be self sufficient. Camping is available all year round but the use of the hostel by school and Gaisce groups is restricted to mid-week use only.
Booking is done online using our booking system. Choose the camping or hostel option.
