Hostel Booking Options

Please note that these prices are for SI members only. Non SI members will be charged the non scout rate of €16 pppn for downstairs and €10 for upstairs.
Below are the options for booking the hostel, please have a read through to see which is most relevant. Different options have different prices to cater as best we can for all group sizes and needs.
Click to Book Whole Hostel (€13/pppn)
This option is for large groups of over 30. Groups of this size pay a minimum amount of €390 per night for the hostel (30 persons x €13). Groups that book the hostel under this option book out the entire hostel and get full use of the kitchen, common room and upstairs. Sheets are provided for the beds, but you need a sleeping bag! The total price is calculated on the total number of people you have staying (with a minimum amount of €390) but weekend bookings must be for the two nights (with a minimum amount of €780).
Room break down:
Downstairs – 3 rooms with 8 beds, 1 room with 4 beds and 1 room with 2 beds. 5 toilets and 5 showers.
Upstairs – 2 rooms with 6 beds 1 room with 2 beds. 2 toilets and 2 showers.
Click to Book Downstairs (€13/pppn)This option is for groups that want all the comforts of a hostel! Groups that book the hostel under this option have to be less than 30 in number, as we can only cater for 30 people downstairs at one time. Groups pay a minimum amount of €260 per night for the hostel (20 persons x €13). Groups that book the hostel under this option book out the entire downstairs of the hostel and get full use of the kitchen and common room. Sheets are provided for the beds, but you need a sleeping bag! The total price is calculated on the total number of people you have staying (with a minimum amount of €260) but weekend bookings must be for the two nights (with a minimum amount of €520)..

Click to Book Upstairs Only (€10/pppn)This option is for groups such as ventures and scouts who are walking the Wicklow Way but want the ease and comfort of sleeping in a room and cooking/dining in the Crean Shackelton Hut! Sheets are provided for the beds, but you need a sleeping bag! There is no minimum number requirement for the upstairs.
Room break down:Upstairs – 2 rooms with 6 beds and 1 room with 2 beds. 2 toilets and 2 showers. To cook you can use the facilities in the Crean Shackelton Hut
