Lough Dan is the perfect end location for a night hike on a moon lit night. Located right on the Wicklow Way you could start your night Hike in Glendalough an easy 9km to the south of Lough Dan or if you are feeling more energetic start in Crone Wood O193 142 which is a short 16 km away. Because you are using a way marked trail with post markers along the route navigation is made easier. The Wicklow way is also well resourced with maps and guide books all making navigation and in this case night nav  easier. As with all hill walking activities make sure you bring the correct personal as well as group equipment. Always carry enough gear should you be delayed, injured or benighted. The time of year will determin your departure time and depending on your pace will determin time for breakfast. Feel free to use our outdoor kitchen and barn to cook up a full Irish breakfast. You deserve it.
