Mountain Biking is not permitted in many parts of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, Coillte the state forestry service has established a fantastic mountain bike track at its forest in Ballinastoe Wood (Grid reference O195 079). Situated only a short 6km cycle away from Lough Dan Scout Centre on the road to Enniskerry the trail has been especially designed for mountain biking. Most groups bring their own bikes and equipment but for groups coming from further afield or from abroad bikes can be hired from bike hire companies such as “Biking.ie”.
